My studio is located in a small village of Alsace in France, I work in a peaceful and bucolic area. In this quietness, I create my sculptures. I work mainly with slabs, building boxes, endless series I am not tired of. On my pieces rigid and tense, I dress in sometimes small slab spread thinly, so that it seems to be fine cloth, pasted here and there in order to beautify the surface. I like to build slowly, searching a form, it is an exercise in architecture and a precise work.

My inspiration comes from painting, sculpture, the little characters that I scribbled and the old walls that I see ...
If my buildings take a long time, the designs are truly important for me. The painter then reveals : on the surface tension, I throw layers of colors, explosions of colors. Music is part of my world and is my rhythm during the day.

The importance of the surface, the accumulation of layers, castings, when nothing is fixed but under tension : the slips are used as a painter would make it, then rubbed, scraped, diluted, the layers accumulating. My characters roam on the surface, sometimes walkers, silhouette in (un)balance.

The importance of the container when each box is an open space and space to explore.

Small piece of memory that each box is, interfere inside the intimate, absorbing the colors of time, up to dreams.
